Dear Santa,

This year has already been such a blessing! I've recieved so many gifts that i just can't possibly ask for anything more! So, with that said, This year for christmas I honestly don't want or need anything.
Putting money into savings is more important right now than ever. I love feeling financially secure, which to me is one of the greatest gifts (of course there are a few greater gifts like an amazing husband and family).
So, this year Steve and I are keeping Christmas simple. We will buy family gifts for our families and remember that the best gift we can give to each other is our love. All we want to do is be able to spend time together over the holidays.

You guys!! It's Christmas time! Everyone should know by now that I just LOVE Christmas time.. almost more than anything in the world. Well, Steve and I set up my Christmas tree the second week in November (HAHAHAHAHA) I just couldn't wait any longer. Thanks Steve for being so supportive :). The tree looks AMAZING and its made me so happy. i love all of the Christmas decorations in my house and can't wait to share photos with all of you. Hopefully I can post them tomorrow.

I haven't written a post for quite some time so I feel like I need to back track a little and tell you all of the exciting things that have been happening lately.

For Thanksgiving this year Steve and I first went to evanston and had a great thanksgiving lunch with my parents, April, Tori, and Trever. it was so fun to just hangout with the family. I love laughing with them. after lunch my mom had a craft ready for us, and i thought i was ready too... till i started it. haha. as many people already know, I'm not one for crafts; I've just never enjoyed them. as each year goes by however, i am able to spend a little more time on them. this year we made glittered pine cones. it was pretty fun. Steve and I both made two and then we decided we were finished. We said goodbye to evanston and made our way to west jordan so spend time with Steves grandpa and grandma, dad, dean and christie. Dean, Chistie, Steve and I made awesome gingerbread houses. now, when i say made i really mean decorated. We bought pre built houses to save all of the hassle of actually trying to get the walls to stand up. oh aren't we smart :). it was a lot of fun. This thanksgiving was great. i love both of our families so much!

Steve and I watched Capri and Collin last Friday and, like always, those kids stole my heart. and i know i say this all of the time but i love seeing steve with both of them... they LOVE steve so much and from what i can see... he loves them too! :)

okay, now back to CHRISTMAS! I LOVE the spirit of Christmas so much. i love that everyone seems to find their inner child and the atmosphere seems so ----carefree in a way. i love Christmas music and movies. i love the family time and the joy everyone shares. this is my favorite time of year and i am so grateful to have so many close friends and family so spend this time with.

Well Ape, I didn't take any photos last weekend. I know, what a bummer! I wish I would have but unfortunately Both Steve and I forgot our cameras.

What a wild week! Steve and I journeyed our way to Echo Reservoir to visit with my mom and sister. sadly enough Ranell had a terrible stomach bug so Steve and I were [more than] happy to volunteer to follow her to her house so that we could take care of her cuties while she napped, since Brandon had to work super late. By the way, I absolutely love seeing Steve play with Capri and Collin! It is probably one of my favorite things ever. He's so good with them and Collin seriously loves when Steve holds him!

After Steve and I bid our farewells we went back to sugar house and went on a bike ride with Landon. Those boys.... I'll tell ya... they like to ride in the street with traffic and I guess I'm just a baby about it because it terrifies me to the utmost. I was a little bitter towards them about making me turn in the middle of the street with millions of cars but I got over it fast when we were back at the house safely.

Steve and I have been trying to ride our bikes everywhere we go since gas prices are so high nowadays. last week we road for almost six hours.. just running errands. it was great. We didn't get to ride our bikes at all this week (except when steve went to the store to pick up some soda for my sick stomach) because we have both been suffering from the stomach bug. thankfully I think we are both cured from our illness and so now the only thing stopping us from riding is the rain.

This morning I got bored while I waited for Steve to get off of work and for the guy fixing the fridge to get to my house, so I decided to edit a few pictures. One thing that is kind of a bummer about me and Steve taking photos together is that we get a lot of shots that look pretty similar... so maybe I'll have to face one way and he can face another. haha. wonder how that would work out.

The photo above was taken in February while we were visiting Cove Fort on the way home from St George. I was just going to delete the photos we took there but I saw this one and i actually saw something i could maybe try to work with. lol so there it is.

This was also taken in St George and this is an example of one of the many photos that has similarities of Steve's (sorry Mr. Sorensen!)

I sure do love taking pictures. Once I get going its hard for me to leave the spot and put my camera away. My goal is to take more photos of random things and less photos of landscapes. we'll see how that goes.

I guess it's that time to actually write something down on here instead of posting a million photos.

Last weekend Steve and I made our way to Bear Lake.
-listened to just about every song on steves playlist before we even got there. lol
-didn't go to the actual lake once but we did take a lot of awesome photos around the lake.
-watched tons of movies.
-ate a lot of junk food
-saw the cutest little baby pony horse thing with a crazy mane. hahaha.
-finally found the shoe house
-stopped in evanston on the way home and spent a few SECONDS at the bear park. haha.

That was about our time at bear lake. it was seriously so much fun.
next time maybe we'll actually go to the beach and play in the sand. depending on how cold it looks. haha.

That boy LOVES his shade. everywhere he went he had to go stand in it for a few... as if it were some sanctuary that gave him an extra boost or something. When we'd go somewhere and there wasn't any shade.... it was time to leave. he's a funny guy. and i love him.

I promised Daniela that I would blog about my life and whats been going on at least once a week. So, since it's already Friday and the week is almost over, I decided to take some time now (while Miss Abi is sleeping) to do just that.

Lately its seems that I haven't really been doing a whole lot. Work work work and gym all week while I wait for Saturday (SAT-UR-DAY- HE -HE -HEEEEEEEEEEEEE *dee :) to get here so that I can spend some time with that guy that means so much to me. Unfortunately thats the only time we really do get to see each other since our schedules are so different and since he lives about 45minutes away. AND sadly enough our time to spend together this weekend is nonexsistant because I'm making my way to Evanston tonight for a couple of nights. so, only 8 more days till I get to see him next :(.
I am really excited to go to Evanston though. It'll be great to get to hangout with the old friends and spend some quality time with me madre!

I just moved into a new apartment... "just" meaning about almost two months ago but i still feel like thats very recent. I LOVE my house! I've finally gotten the chance to have everything exactly how i want it and it really does feel like home. There is however a downfall.... the downfall of course is the AC! it has this retro swamp cooler from .. i'd say the 70's.. and its placed on the cieling of the hallway which makes it incredibly hard to distribute the cold air throughout the house. thank goodness for tower fans from costco. I'm glad the heat of the summer is almost completely behind us, it should feel great in the fall.

I don't have my computer or any of my pictures today so this is going to be a boring blog without, but once i do have my computer and pictures i will post photos of my house and some photos i've taken this summer.

Yesterday i stumbled upon an astrology page and thought I should see what my sign meant and the characteristics i should have being Aquarius. i thought some of it was pretty interesting so.. here it is:

Today I feel Truly blessed! Not only do I have great health, I also have perfect family, friends, and an amazing job! So, on Thursday I was having an incredibly tough time trying to resolve an issue I've been currently struggling with. I was laying in my bed watching the OC while trying to think about my situation as a whole and to figure out what I should do. I picked up my phone and started scrolling through my contacts, trying to find someone who could maybe tell me the right answer. I looked at every name in my phonebook about three times and decided to give up.

Out of desperation I created a text message and decided to send it to CHACHA because... they always have an answer for everything. always. and they didn't fail this time either. about two minutes later I received a text back that said :

"It's not always better to take the common path. Follow your heart and don't look back."

I LOVED this. I felt like it was the perfect answer to the question that had been super glued in my mind for the past few weeks. I'm following my heart and I'm not looking back. This is definitely where I should be.

1. if a sharpie explodes get rid of it... DON'T put it back in the cup of pens!!!
2. If you get a NEW- almost300 dollar- duvet cover that is off white... BE CAREFUL!
3. SHARPIES ON DUVET COVER- ALWAYS A BAD IDEA!
4. While trying to wash the duvet cover make sure there isn't anything stuck to it (like RED STRINGS) before you put it in the wash.

That's right ladies and gentlemen! that's exactly what happened to me. a few days ago i stupidly put a sharpie on my bed, not thinking anything of it. well that sharpie happened to be broken and leaked ink on my less-than-a-month-old-anthropologie-duvet cover! i tried for about and our to get it off using spray and wash and rubbing alcohol. well, it faded a bit so i stuck it in the wash. oh coool..... i get it out and not only did the marker mark not vanish like I'd hoped.. i instead got new lovely pink marks on the duvet due to red strings in the wash. at this point I'm nearly in tears. i take the duvet completely out of the the washer and lay it on the floor and apply the spray and wash to the duvet. thankfully the pink marks did NOT stain. my mom got some stain remover from my sisters mother inlaw and sent it with hailey back to salt lake. i used that... faded a little more. but yes, its still there. I'll be working on it a little more this weekend before putting it in the dryer. not super psyched.

Tonight I decided to delete both of my accounts on Myspace and Facebook. It feels a little bitter sweet. I don't really care about either or them, but it did give me something to do while at work. I found out that the sites are just threaded to produce drama, stalking, and more questionable feelings arise in the pit of my stomach whenever i log into both networking sites. Good thing i still have my blog to fall back on. I feel like blogger is a more "grown up" version of facebook and myspace. I don't need to see what 'people are thinking' every second of every day. its a little overkill.i know everyone says facebook is a way to stay in touch with schoolmates and long lost friends... but why would i want that? people seem fake to me on both sites. if i didn't talk to you in high school and you didn't talk to me then why are we acting like best friends over the web? why do we act like we care so much as to what every one is doing when in all reality its just a time waster? I have the people that i want to stay in contact with right here, right beside me. I'd much rather stick to blogging, texting, phone calls, and of course person to person live interaction. I'm over the fakeness of everyone, over the drama that it causes when people assume the most ridiculous scenarios to the "what are you thinking" answers. just plain over it. I don't plan on ever reactivating either account, ever. i like it much better this way. I'm done being sucked up into this fake world people are living over the web.

I can't wait for the Wilson house lease to come to an end. May 31st can't come soon enough. seriously. i love love LOVE the house, but I'm tired of how dirty it ALWAYS is! I finally had to take my furniture out of the living room because i was getting so sick of coming home to see stains on the couches that i had to buy. i'm thankful steve helped me out and took the couches to be stored in his basement. he's the best ever. i think the next step i'm going to take is to remove all of my dishes, pots and pans, silverware and everything else i have in the kitchen because i don't use them but when i want to use them they're always dirty. hm. i think after this lease is over i will be in search of renting out an apartment.. a ONE bedroom apartment and i'll just live with myself until.....
haha. anyway, i think it will be the only thing that will keep me sane.

patience

So... I've come to realize this past month that I do NOT have patience. I've realized that everything I want I want it right then and there. No matter what. It happens from little things such as a picture frame or a friend to come over all the way up to the huge things like a car. I've gotten everything I've wanted when I've wanted it and its great. BUT... I think it's time for me to learn patience. Sometimes the best things take a while to make happen. They don't need to be rushed. They need to be looked at as something of a high importance; important enough to wait for the right time. so, that right there, is what I'm going to be trying my hardest to do this year. I'm hoping that the thing I want most right now comes sometime this year though :)

Where do I even begin today? This week has been going by soooooooooo slow and I just can't wait for the weekend. OH OH OH! I also can't wait for tonight when I can finally see Steve and also so he can help me with this dog of ours. That's right Ladies and Gents! Steve and I got the most adorable dog last Thursday. He's super cute and we decided to name him Birtch. He's half long haired Chihuahua and half min pin. In all honesty I don't care for either breeds of dogs but I was looking at pictures of chipins (that's what our dog is) and they are actually pretty cute. Birtch is a very playful pup and he thrives off of attention, as I am sure most puppies do. Right now I am doing my best to train the little bugger. He's incredibly stubborn but I think we're on the right path. I get to bring him to work with me and that's where the real challenge seems to begin. He loves BITING Abi. Abi thinks it's funny however I am not okay with it at all. I'm not sure right now if he's only play biting or if it's because he's angry. either way... its not acceptable! It's also been a pretty big challenge to potty train him. we've only had him for a week so I'm trying to keep in mind that he's only a puppy and these accidents will happen, I just can't wait till he knows he can only go to the bathroom outside. This is our baby, Birtch. Isn't he the cutest??
(Steve has learned that if he closes his eyes while i take pictures that i get mad and put the camera away... i think he's using it against me now, so whenever he closes his eyes during photos.... i snap even more lol. and then it becomes HIS fault that they don't turn out. He still looks sexy when he's pretending to be sleeping though, so it's a-o-k- and I'll post away!)

longest post I've made for a while so i think it's time to call it quits and get back to my little Birtch!

The Day my Heart Stops....

Above is the Salt Lake city Cemetery located in the Avenues. When the time come for my death I hope that I can be placed near such a beautiful tree as the one in this photograph. I find it extremely inspiring to see trees located in cemeteries (since they are thought of as "life"). It brings me hope as well as happiness.
